PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a fast texture mapping processing with use of a small number of memories, by reading simultaneously a texture memory storing the texture data without overlapping with plural RPs(rendering processors). SOLUTION: The RPs 20 to 23 take charge of drawing graphics and operate in parallel to each other. An address conversion part 100 receives the texture coordinate value (S1, T1) to (S4, T4) from the RPs 20 to 23 and converts them into the addresses of the nearest four texels in a texture coordinate system. An address selection part 200 selects and outputs the converted memory addresses by a prescribed method. A memory part 300 simultaneously reads 16 texels, and a texel data selection part 400 rearranges the read texel data so as to attain a texture filtering operation. Then, a texture filtering part 500 outputs the filtered texel data L1 to L4 to the RPs 20 to 23. |
