Pick-up mechanism for mown or mulched grass

The mechanism (1) has a low noise-producing factor so that it can be positioned at the side of the user. Its function is based on soft rubber sprung teeth (7), which are grouped in V-formation or saw tooth arrangement on a soft rubber strip, which is adhered to a flexible endless conveyor belt fed around two circulating rollers. The function is two-part, i.e. intensive pick-up and regulatable discharge into a collection container (11) which accompanies the mechanism. A strong, adjustable inlet plate (12) presses downwards the material (5) to be picked up and guides it to the rubber-sprung teeth against the direction of travel.
