The self-supporting profile of the support component (1) has at least one first part (2) extending horizontally which can support on a base surface and on it extends a second part (3). At least one part has a U-shaped cross-section, in which one side of the flat plate can be received. The two self-supporting profiles are coupled to one another by a connecting component (4). The first parts (2) of the profiles are positioned lengthwise, at an angle to one another or parallel to one another. The self-supporting profile is provided with a positioning component (6), which consists of a projection (7) extending outwards from the profile.
