摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the distributed state of a binder in an electrode mix layer and provide an electrode in which the holding force of an active material by a current collector is enhanced so that the active material is hardly peeled by setting the present ratio of the fluorine atom derived from the binder to the carbon atom derived from the active material on the surface contact with the current collector, and the above present ratio on the surface not contact with the current collector to specified ranges, respectively. SOLUTION: As a negative electrode active material consisting of carbon material, hardly graphitizable carbon is suitably used. As a binder containing fluorine atom, polyvinylidene fluoride is preferred. The negative electrode active material is dispersed into this binder solution followed by coating and drying, whereby a negative electrode for battery is provided. The ratio of (the present ratio of the fluorine atom derived from the binder to the carbon atom derived from the active material on the surface contact with a current collector)/(the present ratio of the above fluorine atom to the above carbon atom on the surface not contact with the current collector) is set to 3 or more and 7 or less. The condition of coating and drying is properly set for this.
