The invention pertains to a press-fitting process for a non removable smooth-end and tight tube coupling. The press-fitting resembles a section intended to accommodate at least one torus-shaped sealing element, one cylindrical segment extending lengthwise and directly connected to said sealing member, as well as one shoulder fitting as a stop for the tube to be inserted or externally mounted. It is suggested by the invention that at least part of the sealing element should be placed in the direction of flow (11, 11', 11''), and have a cross section smaller than the outlet cross section, in the form of a bulge (13) extending over the ring opening and transversally thereto, as well as a recess (12, 12', 12'') which is adjacent to the inserted tube (2) and extends radially into the sealing member section, the bulge volume (13) in comparison with the outlet cross-section being as large as the recess volume (12, 12', 12") which the outlet cross section is lacking, while the recess (12, 12', 12") of the sealing element, seen in a section plane, forms a through opening in the axial direction.
