<p>The absorbent article extends in a longitudinal direction and comprises a main body portion (22) having a pair of longitudinal side edges, a pair of end edges, a garment surface, and a body surface. The absorbent article comprises a pair of flaps (24) joined to the main body portion and extending laterally outward beyond the longitudinal side edges of the main body portion. The garment surface of each of the flaps comprises a flap fastener (76) and the flaps are folded over the body surface of the main body portion to expose the flap fastener. A wrapper (78) for the absorbent article comprises a main wrapper sheet (80) and a flap fastener cover (81). The flap fastener cover comprises a pair of longitudinal side portions, a pair of end portions, a releasable surface facing the flap fastener of the flaps, an opposing surface, a first portion, and a second portion. A majority of the first portion extends in the first region, and the flap fastener cover is releasably affixed to the flap fasteners of the flaps. The main wrapper sheet and the main body portion of the absorbent article are folded as a unit about the second axis so that the majority of the flaps superposes with the body surface side of the main body portion in the third region with interposing the first portion of the flap fastener cover therebetween. At least a part of the second portion of the flap fastener cover is joined to the outer surface of the main wrapper sheet.</p> |
