The method involves using a flow area matching the shape of one heating plate segment (10) belonging to the rotor (2) of the air-pre-heater, positioned in front of the air-pre-heater rotor belonging to the regenerative air pre-heater near the transition from the side of the flue gas duct (5) to the side of the hot-air duct (9). The flow area consists of a nozzle (11) in front of the air-pre-heater rotor in the inlet (3) of the flue gas duct. The nozzle is connected by an over flow duct (12) to a holder socket (13) in the air-outlet (6) of the air-pre-heater rotor.
