[Also in Division B7] A castor wheel assembly includes a rubber torsion unit 10 secured by a strap 12 to a swivel support plate 11, a wheel strut 13 being attached to the torsion unit and the plate 11 has a vertical member 14 which is rotatable about a vertical axis within a suport tube 15 on bearing races 16, a rubber pressure ring 19 is mounted on plate 11, a free friction plate 20 is mounted on ring 19 and has holes through which pass pegs secured to plate 11, a fixed annular friction plate 23 is welded to tube 15 and a friction disc 24 is disposed between plates 20, 23 the plates and disc being forced together by ring 19 to restrair swivel movements. |
