<p>This invention provides an isolated nucleic acid which encodes bcl-8. This invention also provides an oligonucleotide of at least 15 nucleotides capable of specifically hybridizing with a sequence of nucleotides within a nucleic acid which encodes bcl-8. Further, this invention provides an agent capable of blocking the expression of BCL-8. This invention also provides various methods of determining whether a subject is afflicted with diffuse large cell lymphoma. This invention further provides a method of determining whether a subject has a predisposition for diffuse large cell lymphoma. This invention further provides various methods of treating a subject afflicted with diffuse large cell lymphoma. This invention also provides various methods of preventing diffuse large cell lymphoma in a subject. This invention also provides phamaceutical compositions for treating and/or preventing diffuse large cell lymphoma.</p> |
