<p>A polymeric film having superior oxygen barrier properties comprising at least three layers, two layers formed of an aliphatic polyamide such as poly(caprolactam) sandwiching a layer formed of an aliphatic/aromatic polyamide such as poly(m-xylylene adipamide) or a blend of an aliphatic/aromatic polyamide such as poly(m-xylylene adipamide) with an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer.</p>
