The improvement consists in providing a motor-driven gate (2) with a 12 Volt DC electric motor (22), said motor being powered by an accumulator battery (18) associated to a battery charger (17) which can be connected to the 220 V power grid. In this way, the gate (2) can always be automatically driven independently of the presence of the power grid voltage.
