[Also in Division F4] A device for screening a light source consists of a number of superimposed thin sheets of transparent material, each of which has printed or deposited on at least one face a design or part of a design which in the aggregate forms the desired screen. The designs are superimposed in register. The design may be composed of parallel or crossed lines, curves or geometrical figures and may be applied to the sheets by painting, electro-deposition or engraving, using opaque or translucent coloured or uncoloured material. The designs may be such as to produce portrait or picture instead of a geometrical pattern. |
