The lock is a component part of the bicycle's frame. At a suitable point one section of the frame is replaced by a specially designed and profiled section(3) which fits accurately into the gap and therefore is considered to be a key. After parking the bicycle the key is removed from the holder, and the frame space again filled by a threaded sleeve to secure the frame around a standing object.
