Concerning modulating pressure valves for fuel, the fuel feed system has to be designed in such a way that no leakage can break the fuel flow, the fuel intake cannot be prevented by dirt and the leak tight point can in no way be damaged in the event that the valve should work over a long period. The inventive modulating pressure valve (2) has an elastic leak tight point (30) in addition to the stop of the valve member (8) on the valve body (10). Said leak tight point (30) has an overdimension sufficiently small to prevent any damage. The modulating pressure valve according to the invention is particularly suitable for a fuel feed system in a vehicle driven by an internal combustion engine.
