Overvoltage protection plug with fail-safe device

The overload voltage protected plug has a circuit board Ä3Ü on which is mounted a PTC resistor that provides a current limiting function. The resistor locates in grooves and is soldered into position. In addition there is a fail safe element Ä6Üthat fits onto the overload voltage conductor. This is held by a solder blob Ä7Ü and this melts when a specific temperature is reached and in doing so releases a contact Ä14Ü that engages a second circuit board Ä10Ü to activate a warning display.
