The bottom contact surface (15) of the main door threshold part (13) is between 15 and 45 mm lower than the bottom contact surface (16) of the water deflector plate (14). The side (17) of the main threshold part facing the water deflector plate, and the side (18) facing away from the water deflector plate are spaced apart by 15 to 35 mm. The bottom contact surface of the main threshold body has a clip (19,20,21) for a widening piece of a carpet-shield. A second clip (26) for a sheet is disposed below the water deflector plate beneath which is a guide for extensible material (28) e.g. tarred tape.
