The valve (2) has a sprung plate (4) which sits on a seat (3) in the closed state and a shaft (5) axially guided in an enclosing part (7). A disc armature (9) on one end of the shaft has at least one electrically conducting annular coil (10). The armature is enclosed by a stator (12) at a small distance with at least one electrically conducting annular coil winding (13). The stator is supplied with electrical energy from a converter (13a) with a microprocessor (14) so that the unit contg. the armature, valve and stator operates as a synchronous motor, reluctance motor or asynchronous motor.
