<p>The thermal printer comprises a printer paper (16) friction capstan (14), mounted on a cover (22) which closes a printing paper magazine. A printing head (10) is elastically stressed (12) towards the capstan, so as to pinch the printing paper when the cover is in the closed position. A housing (24), in which is mounted the printing head (10), has outwardly-open slots (30) designed to receive the axial ends of the capstan when the cover is in the closed position. The cover has a locking mechanism (32) which co-operates with the housing on the side opposite to the capstan. The locking mechanisms has a trigger movement perpendicular to the slots. The trigger mechanism makes use of the elasticity of the cover, making the ends of the capstan axis press against the back of the slots.</p> |
