PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed having an extension mechanism, capable of setting a bottom position in an optimum extended position for the wounded condition of a patient, using simpler constitution. SOLUTION: A main frame 14 and a high/low mechanism are supported indirectly via a middle floor 15 rotatably mounted in the position of the main frame 14 close to the head, and using the falling action of the normal high/low mechanism, an abutment lever 18 is made to abut to the main frame 14 at a position close to a foot board 17 to extend the main frame 14 with the head side of the bed 10 lowered. |
