<p>The invention relates to an implement for milking animals, such as cows, which implement comprises at least one milking parlour (1) provided with a milking robot (7) including a robot arm (8) for connecting teat cups (9) to the teats of an animal (6) to be milked. The milking robot (7) is arranged in such a manner that at least two groups of two teat cups (9) can be connected automatically and simultaneously to the teats of the animal (6) to be milked. The implement comprises a detector (29), such as a laser or an ultrasonic sensor, for determining the position of the teats (10) of the animal (6) to be milked.
