CORROSION PREVENTING METHOD FOR MARINE STEEL STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for cleanly removing scales on the surface of a marine steel structure without underwater work, then repairing pitting corrosion, etc., and preventing corrosion. SOLUTION: A steel member constituting the surface of the steel structure provided in the sea is made a cathode and an anode 3 is arranged in sea water opposed to the steel member. Then a DC current is made to flow between the electrodes of them to remove the scales such as corrosion existing on the surface of the steel structure and then a DC current is made to flow between the electrode of them to deposit electrode position matter mainly consisting of the electrolytic response product of sea water at the surface and the pitting corrosion place of the steel structure to form a corrosion preventing coat and to repair the pitting corrosion place.
