<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve economy by using fuel such as gas, and to unnecessitate movement corresponding to the positional change of the internal surface of a coil by measuring the outside diameter of the coil, calculating the position of the internal surface of the coil and making burners corresponding to this position burn. SOLUTION: An uncoiled bar is held between measuring rolls 5, the length of the uncoiled bar is taken out as the number of revolution, this number of revolution is taken out with a pulse generator 6 as the number of pulse. In the position opposite to the end face of coil, five burners p1-p5 for heat-retaining and heating the internal surface of the coil are arranged along a route on which the position of the internal surface of the coil is lowered with the decrease of the outside diameter. By a burner control part 7, the present outside diameter of the coil is calculated from the number of pulse from the pulse generator 6 and the outside diameter D0 of the coil at the time of starting the measurement of the uncoiled length which is previously inputted. The position of the internal surface of the coil is determined when this outside diameter is obtained, so the burners pn near that position are fired two by two and heat- retaining and heating are executed.</p> |
