<p>A spin-on filter unit (1) for filtering liquids which may be readily disassembled utilises a perforated centre support tube (21) disposed within a housing canister (40) having both an open end and a closed end. A mounting head assembly (10) includes a bayonet connector mechanism (13) adapted for releasable engagement with the open end of the housing canister (40). A spring mechanism (26) acts upon the centre support tube (21) to urge the mounting head assembly bayonet connection mechanism (13) into releasable engagement with the open end of the housing canister (40) after rotation of the mounting head assembly (10) about its centre axis relative to the housing canister (40). <IMAGE></p> |
