PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a split of a seal ring and a split of a piston ring from moving closer to each other and to compress gas to satisfactorily high pressure with a piston, by arranging a recessed part on the surface through which a piston ring comes into contact with a seal ring, and by placing a fixture in the recessed part. SOLUTION: A split 6 of a piston ring 5 and a split 9 of a seal ring 4 are attached to annular grooves of a piston 2 by deviating their positions each other, and closely adhered to the inner surface of a cylinder 10 using a back up ring 8. Hemispheric recessed parts 5A and 4A are respectively arranged on the surface through which the piston ring 5 and the seal ring 4 are brought into contact each other, and a spherical fixture 12 is arranged in the recessed space formed by hemispheric recessed parts 5A and 4A. Because the piston ring 5 and the seal ring 4 are fixed by the spherical fixed fitting 12, the split 6 of the piston ring 5 and the split 9 of the seal ring 4 do not move closer or match each other during operation. Therefore, gas leak does not occur, the piston 2 can compress air in the cylinder 10 up to satisfactorily high pressure. |
