PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polynucleotide having high identity with a nucleic acid encoding a specific polypeptide having the activities of TNF-R referred protein TR5 and useful for treating inflammations, autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, cancers, arterial sclerosis, etc., diagnosis, etc. SOLUTION: This isolated new polynucleotide contains a nucleotide sequence encoding a polypeptide which is identical with the polypeptide sequence having the amino acid sequence expressed by the formula at least 80% and has the activities of the polypeptide having the amino acid sequence expressed by the formula or a nucleotide sequence complementary to the above nucleotide sequence. The polynucleotides are useful for the treatments of functional disorders or diseases including inflammations, arthritis, septicemia, autoimmune diseases, transplant rejections, graft versus host diseases, infectious diseases, apoplexia, ischemia, acute respiratory disease syndromes, psoriasis, restenosis, brain injury, AIDS, bone diseases, cancers, atherosclerosis and Alzheimer's disease, and the diagnostic assays of such symptoms. |
