PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a fluid passage system capable of using only one pump for circulating recording ink, using a long life tube and readily exchanging the tube in an ink jet recorder. SOLUTION: This ink jet recorder comprises an ink jet recording head 1, a cartridge 2 having an ink chamber 7, an ink reservoir 12 for temporally reserving ink discharged from the recording head 1 and a tube pump 3 that outputs the ink from the ink chamber 7 to the recording head 1 and returns it to the ink chamber 7 from the ink reservoir 12 again. The inner section of the cartridge 2 has a double chamber structure wherein the ink chamber 7 and an air chamber 8 are housed therein. |
