PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to facilitate easy portability of a mortuary tablet which is awkward to carry, hold a memorial service of the deceased/ancestors in one's everyday life and also let it return to the earth eventually along with the ashes and the like. SOLUTION: On the surface of a card made of a biodegradable resin, a posthumous Buddhist name or a secular name is listed as a card style mortuary tablet. The external shape may be a simple rectangular one or the same external shape as a conventional mortuary tablet. On the surface of a rectangular card, the figure of the mortuary tablet may be shown with the posthumous Buddhist name or secular name listed within the figure. Furthermore, an electronic circuit or sound generator and the like which generates a bell may be built in the card. As the card style mortuary tablet is made of a biodegradable resin, it eventually returns to the earth; thus, a person who holds it would never be burdened with psychologically guilty conscience that he or she might be a participant in the environmental destruction. |
