<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve train having a highly efficient internal gear pump with the minimum cavitation for feeding an actuator member that regulates an engine valve control means with working fluid required for the operation of the actuator member in an energy-saving and method for raising cost- efficiency. SOLUTION: A valve train for an internal combustion engine has a hydraulic actuator means of regulating a valve control means as a function of engine speed, and a pump 100 driven by the engine for feeding the actuator means with working fluid. The pump 100, which has sealing webs extending along its plural pockets 17, is constituted as a suction-control ring gear pump featuring feed characteristics as a function of speed suitable for the quantity of working fluid required for the actuator means.</p> |
