PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound having excellent inhibitory effects on calmodulin, useful as a medicine such as a preventive and therapeutic agent for circulatory diseases. SOLUTION: This compound is shown by the formula [R is NH-A-NH (A is a 2-8C bifunctional hydrocarbon, (CH2 )2 -O-(CH2 )2 , etc.; X<1> and X<2> are each O or H; Y is H or a halogen; (n) is 2-7) such as N,N'-bis[6-(4-chloro-1- naphthalenesulfonyl)-amino-1-hexanoyl]p-xylenediamine. The compound of the formula is obtained by reacting a halogenonaphthalene sulfonyl compound with an amino fatty acid in a solvent, halogenating the reaction product with thionyl chloride and reacting the resultant substance with a diamine and reducing the obtained compound by catalytic reduction or with a reducing agent such as a boranemethyl sulfide complex. |
