PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of being used by mixing the two components in a nearly same volume ratio and hardly requiring an atmospheric moisture for finishing a rapid hardening reaction by constituting the composition of a component containing a catalyst and a component containing moisture. SOLUTION: This two pot type composition basically consisting of (A) a component containing a catalyst and (C) a component containing moisture. The component A comprises (i) 100 pts.wt. alkoxy end-capped polydiorganosiloxane of formula I having a viscosity within a range of about 100-500,000 cPs at 25 deg.C, (ii) about 0.25-about 0.75 pt.wt. condensing and hardening catalyst, and (B) 0-5 pts.wt. polyalkoxysilane cross-linking agent of formula II [R<3> and R<4> are each a (substituted) 1-15C monovalent hydrocarbon; R<3> is same as R<1> ]. Further, the component C comprises 100 pts.wt. di-silanol terminated polydiorganosiloxane of formula III [R is an alkyl, an alkyl ether, etc.; (m) is about 50-about 2500]. The volume ratio of the components A:B is preferably within a range of (4:1) to (1:4). |
