PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To approach a suction device easily by sealing up a work space favorably for a slide mechanism especially by a simple design structure. SOLUTION: A machine tool 10 has a machine base 11 and a work piece table 13 arranged on this machine base has a fixed surface 14 for a processed work piece 12. Further, a slide mechanism 19 for main spindle head 16 is arranged on the machine base 11 and this main spindle head is provided with a main spindle 17 for receiving the tool 18 for processing the work piece 12 and can be moved in the work space 15 of the upper side of the work piece table 13. Further, an exterior 31 for closing at least work space 15 for the outside is provided and a suction device 33 for sucking a dirty air 62 from the work space 15 is provided. The slide mechanism 19 is arranged to the upperside of the fixed surface 14 and the suction device 33 sucks the dirty air 62 through the machine base 11.
