PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce stress by suppressing an increase of mass to the minimum extent in a car body in which a side structural body is formed by using a hollow structural angle constituted by two face plates and a rib which joins these face plates mutually. SOLUTION: In a car body in which a side structural body 11 is formed by using a hollow structural angle constituted by two face plates and a rib 32 which joins the face plates mutually, thicknesses of face plates 31c, 31d in upper and lower regions B, D of a continuously contact point (c) of a circular arc which constitutes a corner part of a window 15 and a vertical side of the window 15 are made larger than thicknesses of face plates in the other regions A, C, and E. Stress is most concentrated in the regions B and D. According to this configuration, it is possible to reduce mass and improve strength simultaneously. Moreover, a buckling prevention tool can be arranged in a space of the hollow structural angle in the regions B and D. Furthermore, a thickness of a face plate in the inside of a car as a face plate of the hollow structural angle 18 of a pier panel is made larger than a thickness of a face plate on the outside of the car. |
