PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give an alarm securely to a person such as a driver who is away from an automobile using a portable telephone circuit even when an indefinite person or the driver is not near the automobile. SOLUTION: This alarm device has an abnormality monitoring sensor 5 which monitors the presence or absence of abnormality such as the approach, contact, or entry of a person to an automobile and an alarm circuit part which outputs an alarm signal when the abnormality is detected by the abnormality monitoring sensor 5 which are provided in the automobile. A portable telephone set 12 calls the telephone number of a person to be informed which is memorized in advance when it receives the alarm signal outputted by the alarm circuit part to transmit an alarm by sound.
