<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet containing device and an image forming device capable of preventing a long and large sheet discharged from becoming disordered or jam of the discharged sheet in forming an image in it to be discharged. SOLUTION: In the case where a printing command received by an engine drive 50 from a controller is a long sheet, the engine drive 50 first lets a sheet discharge tray in a large quantity sheet discharge unit (LCOT) 20 to fall to the lowest limit, and it then performs printing action. In the case where the printing command received from the controller is not a long sheet, detection of length of a printing sheet is performed while it passes, it lowers the sheet discharge tray of the LCOT 20 to the lowest limit when it determines that it is a long sheet in spite of setting from the controller, and then it performs printing action, and fall between a sheet discharge port of the LCOT 20 and the sheet discharge tray is made large, thereby reducing disorder of the long sheet and preventing rolling of a tip of the discharged long sheet into a sheet discharge roller.</p> |
