<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an efficiency of removing spewing by imaging a tread surface of a tire together with the spewing, image processing it to obtain a virtual profile of the tread surface in which the spewing is removed, and disposing a spewing cutter along the profile, thereby trimming various tire. SOLUTION: An image data recording means 4 records image data of the tire 2 imaged by an imaging unit 3, and an image processor 7 obtains a virtual profile of the tread surface in which spewing 5 does not exist from the data. A spewing removing means 9 disposes a spewing cutter 6 at the profile of the rotating tire 2 to remove the spewing 5. The unit 3 images a profile of the tread surface of the tire 2 in the meridian direction together with the spewing 5 protruding from the tread surface, and adopts a black and white CCD camera. As the unit 3, a line sensor for obtaining one-dimensional information can be used instead of the CCD camera.</p> |
