<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand an air bag only in part by releasing only a designated amount of gas according to circumstances. SOLUTION: A gas generating device 100 by a fire-processing technology of safety devices of automobiles or the like has a model of a single-material cylindrical body 1, which has a side wall 2 and a crossing wall 3 which divides the body 1 into an upstream side chamber 4 and a downstream side chamber 5. Each chamber of 4 and 5 has equipped powders 6 and 7 by a fire processing technology and ignition devices 15 and 16. A lid 30 and a vessel 31 are fixed to the outside side wall 2 and constitute a diffusion chamber. A safety unit 26 is fixed to a part of the side wall 2 and can partly expand an air bag according to an electric signal received by the gas generating device 100, or can completely expand the air bag controlling an expansion rate.</p> |
