Disclosed is a preparation method of 5-methoxy-2-[[(4- methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-2-pyridinyl)-methyl]sulphinyl]-1H- benzimidazole from (4-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-2-pyridinyl) methylalcohol through (4-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-2-pyridinyl) methylchloride and 5-methoxy-2-((((4-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-2- pyridinyl)-methyl)thio)-1H-benzimidazole, which consists of that reaction steps are realised in sequence without isolation of intermediates formed during the method, with the use of one main solvent system common for whole reaction sequence. The method according to the filed invention can also comprise additional purification step.
