PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excite a heater only when icing/snowing is detected by arranging an infrared projecting means for detecting the icing/snowing and a light receiving means, and providing a circuit for turning on or off the electric heater. SOLUTION: A heat storage agent containing container 4, an electric heater 6, and a heat insulating material 7 are integrally arranged, and a void 8 is provided between a mirror surface 1 and the heat storage agent containing container 4. An overheat preventing thermostat 9 and a heating thermostat 10 are installed in the front and rear of the container 4. An infrared projector 11 and a light receiver 12 are arranged on a hood 2, and the back face 3 of the mirror surface 1 is fitted to a stanchion 17 by a support metal 14, a connecting metal 15, and a fastening metal 16. The light projected by the projector 11 and reflected by the mirror surface 1 of a reflecting mirror is connected to the electric heater 6 through the light receiver 12 via the thermostat 9. The stuck state of ice/snow on the mirror surface 1 is detected by the other thermostat 10 to open or close a circuit, and this reflecting mirror can be used for preventing the stuck ice/snow on the power saving basis. |
