PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing an aromatic carbonic acid ester suppressing the production of byproducts difficult to be separated by this process, and also keeping a high catalyst activity. SOLUTION: This method for producing an aromatic carbonic acid ester by reacting an aromatic hydroxy compound with carbon monoxide and oxygen, is to use one or more kinds selected from carboxylic acid amides and alkylureas as a solvent in the presence of (A) one or more kinds selected from palladium and palladium compounds, (B) one or more kinds selected from manganese compounds and lead compounds and (C) one or more kinds selected from halogenated alkali metal salts, halogenated quaternary ammonium salts and halogenated quaternary phosphonium salts. |
