PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for ink jet recording, esp. one which enables the delivery stability of a recording apparatus to be assured, and an ink jet printer loaded therewith. SOLUTION: This ink contains a water-soluble dye and a wetting agent and is designed so that κ defined by the formula: κ=V(1/d)×Δη [wherein V is the speed of a printing head (carriage speed), mm/sec; d is the nozzle diameter, μm; and Δη is the rate of initial viscosity increase of ink, mPa.S/%] is 10 or lower. The ink jet printer provided is loaded with the ink. |
