<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject safe and readily handleable composition by dispersing a microbial raw material containing bacteria, molds, yeasts, actinomyces, etc., in a medium composed of an organic compound which is a liquid at normal temperatures or a viscosity imparting substance added thereto. SOLUTION: This microorganism-containing semifluid composition contains a microorganism dispersed in a medium and is capable of manifesting the semifluidity at normal temperatures. The composition is obtained by dispersing a liquid and/or a solid microbial raw material containing one or more microorganisms such as bacteria, molds, yeasts and actinomyces in a medium composed of an organic compound such as a polyhydric alcohol, a polyether or a nonionic surfactant which is a liquid at 15 deg.C or a medium composed of the organic compound and a viscosity imparting agent such as colloidal silica and/or 12-hydroxystearic acid. The resultant composition useful for decomposing and deodorizing organic pollutants and malodorous substances in domestic wastewater, decomposing and deodorizing animal excreta, decomposing, vanishing and deodorizing garbages, decomposing and deodorizing, etc., organic pollutants and malodorous substances sticking to surfaces of various materials.</p> |
