<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seating sensor for a toilet seat which makes it possible to reduce bad effects for seating sensor operations caused by variability of signal feeder in the installation location while avoiding an inner installation of a circuit to the toilet seat (?). SOLUTION: A sensing electrode plate 2 for seating detection arranged inside of a toilet seat 1 is connected to an external circuit 5 of the toilet seat 1 by way of a signal feeder 6 consisting of a coaxial cable. When the seating of a human body on the seating surface 100 of the toilet seat 1 occurs, impedance between the sensing electrode plate and the ground is reduced significantly due to a large electrostatic capacitance between the sensing electrode plate 2 and the human body: thereby, input voltage into the seating detection circuit is significantly changed. A damaging parasitic capacitance between the human body and the signal feeder 6 is reduced by using a coaxial cable: thus, a seating detection can be performed safely.</p> |
