<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device and its control method which can compensate for nonidentity of a rotational motion generated by a direction switching means for an accurate steering angle. SOLUTION: The universal joint 106 of a steering power train 100 is disposed between a steering wheel 11 and a superposed transmission 12. A motor 13 connected to a controller is connected to the superposed transmission 12. The controller controls the motor 13 by control signalsδM, soll, kard, and compensation angle calculated based on a steering wheel angleδL. The superposed transmission 12 overlaps the additional anglesδM, kard supplied from the motor 13, which are added to the steering wheel angleδL supplied through the universal joint 106, and the superposed steering angle (total angle)δL' is supplied to wheels 15a, 15b through a steering gear 24.</p> |
