PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a granular solid material having anticoagulant property and easy fluidity without generating powder or dust in being crushed, by covering a partially water-soluble solid with a distillation tower bottom material of a liquid state within a specific temperature range, obtained in a process for producing an alcohol having a specific structure. SOLUTION: This granular solid material is obtained by covering at least partially water-soluble solid, preferably selected from among ammonium sulfate, ammonium nitrate, ammonium chloride, diammonium hydrogen phosphate, monoammonium phosphate, ammonium polyphosphate, sodium nitrate, potassium nitrate, potassium chloride, potassium carbonate, calcium nitrate, urea, double superphosphate of lime and their mixture with a distillation tower bottom material of a liquid state at about <=60 deg.C, obtained in a process for producing an alcohol expressed by the formula: R2 -R1 -OH [R1 is a 4-12C (non) substituted, linear, branched or cyclic group; R2 is H or OH], preferably hexane diol. Preferably, about 45.4 g-about 9.1 kg of the distillation tower bottom material is contained in 1 ton of the solid material. |
