PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat melting and adhering coating for road traffic signs capable of shortening time for traffic controls and excellent in adhesiveness, workability and stain resistance by containing a specific ratio of a binding resin and a specific amorphous polyα-olefin. SOLUTION: This heat melting and adhering coating for road traffic signs comprises a binding resin such as rosin resin, etc., a plasticizer, a pigment, a reflective material, a filler, etc., and 100 pts.wt. of the binding resin contains 2-30 pts.wt. of an amorphous polyα-olefin consisting of polypropylene or a copolymer of propylene with ethylene or butene-1 and having 500-20000 number average molecular weight and 400-15000 cPs melt viscosity at 190 deg.C.
