PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storing method for a grafting cell forming seedling capable of storing it for a fixed period without deteriorating the seedling quality. SOLUTION: When the grafting cell forming seedling is stored, circumferential gas environment is controlled to be an air atmosphere where the carbon dioxide concentration is <=0.05%, by vol., and also an oxigen concentration is <=20% while irradiating the grafting cell forming seedling with light including at least red light. In this case, it is preferable that gas environment is controlled to be a mixed gas composition consisting of 0.05-10.0% carbon dioxide, 20.0-1.0% oxigen and 70.0-98.5%, by vol., and also it is favorable that a red light emitting diode is used as a light source at the time of radiating the red light and the radiation strength of the red light is defined as 0.2-6μmol.m<-2> .s<-1> in a photosynthetic active photon flux density.
