2,2-DIALKYLPENTANE 1,5-DIISOCYANATES, 2,2-DIALKYLPENTANE 1,5-DIURETHANES AND 2,2-DIALKYLPENTANE 1,5-DICARBAMOYL CHLORIDES, AND THEIR PREPARATION AND THEIR USE

The invention relates to 2,2-dialkylpentane 1,5-diisocyanates, 2,2-dialkylpentane-1,5-diurethanes and 2,2-dialkylpentane-1,5-dicarbamoyl chlorides of the formula: where: R1 and R2 are identical or different linear C1- to C22-alkyl, branched C3- to C12-alkyl, branched C2- to C12-alkenyl or branched C4- to C12-alkenyl, or R1 and R2 together are alkylene having from 4 to 7 carbon atoms, which is unsubstituted or substituted by from 1 to 5 C1- to C4alkyl groups, and X is NCO, NH-CO2R3, NHC2R4 or NHCOCl, where R3 and R4 are identical or different and are linear C1- to C20-alkyl, branched C3- to C20-alkyl or C5- to C12-cycloalkyl. The 2,2-dialkylpentane-1,5-diurethanes of the above formula are useful as pesticides. Like the 2,2-dialkylpentane-1,5-dicarbamoyl chlorides also defined above, they are also useful for the preparation of the above 2,2-dialkylpentane 1,5-diisocyanates, which are themselves useful for the preparation of compact or cellular plastics by polyisocyanate polyaddition.
