According to the proposal the trays (15a) of the soaking/germinating unit (A) are provided with support legs. The drying unit (B) is in the form of a closed, insulated, cylindrical vessel. Tangential air flow is provided between the perforated wall of the vessel and the heating coil by the fan (7). Vapour-laden air at the fan inlet is routed through a heat exchanger (8). To speed up the germination process the trays (15a) -water, demagnetised in a process unit (1), is supplied to the trays (15a) via pipe (a). |
