The invention refers to a process and an installation for burning industrial combustible waste, designed to operate waste firing plants which burn waste coming from biological cleaning plants in refineries, from the manufacturing of metallurgical electrodes, rubber, or from used tyres. According to the invention, the process contains several stages, the first of which being the supply, at the base of a fluidisation column, of a support layer of combustible solid waste, brought to a state of autothermal combustion, followed by a combustion stage and then by superficial drying and recirculation of an amount of ashes and particles from the gases burnt and preheated by air. The installation applying the process contains a fluidised state furnace, a particle separator, a multiple cyclone dust separator and an air preheater, as well as an extrusion device (16) for combustible solid waste, a dual pulverisation device (17) and a water preheater (11).
