The invention relates to a ring-shaped life-buoy made of pvc or other compact and lighter-than-the-water material. It is composed of two independent inflatable or compact air-chambers which are designed to be adapted round the neck. The invented buoy is the result of extensive searches and experiments, and characterized by the variable diameter of the air-chambers and its progressive increase from a minimum to a maximum at a rate raising round the buoy centre and towards the front part thereof so that the front part grows, finally, more voluminous than the rear one, the buoyancy increases, the lifting power holds the user's head slightly inclinated backwards, and the respiratory organs are kept out of water. |
